Quote of the week

The transition from slavery (Bereishit/Shemot) to arrival at the promised land was achieved only as a result of sacrifice (the book of Vayikra) and a lengthy period in the desert (Bemidbar/Devarim). In the current age of instant gratification, we would do well to appreciate to the message of faith, endurance and patience that underpins our early history.
